At our Santa Barbara location, Kanaloa Seafood Market customers will have a special treat, just in time for the holidays -- fresh, whole European Sardines!

These delicious sardines are fresh from Spain and have been scaled and gutted, perfect for the grill or broiler. Sardines are delicious hot or cold, either served with robust tomato sauces that counteract the oiliness of the fish, or dressed with butter, lemon and fresh herbs and served with boiled potatoes. Sardines from Spain are of the highest quality, with a meaty tuna flavor.

Supplies will be limited, so call give Courtney, Marie, Nathan or Frankie a call at 805-966-5159 and place your preorder for pick up Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.

Sustainable Seafood Cooking Class with Pamela Sheldon Johns

Join cookbook author Pamela Sheldon Johns and the Kanaloa Seafood Market, for a sustainable seafood cooking class in Santa Barbara, California.

On Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00am, Pamela will be cooking recipes from her newest book, Silver Spoon Sicily. This book is a remake of an old Italian series called Cucciaio d'Argento. The recipes are translations of the original Italian cookbook. Phaidon Press acquired the rights to publish it in English, with new text from Pamela. 

Sustainable seafood for the cooking class will be provided by Kanaloa Seafood, North America and Europe's first ISO 14001 certified seafood company. Kanaloa Seafood has been locally owned and based in Santa Barbara for thirty years. 

Reservations for the cooking class can be made by contacting Pamela Sheldon Johns by email. The class is $100 per person.
